Doesn't whusup sound stupid?

Well we couldn't get whatsup.com so we had to settle for the next best thing :) We created whusup as a completely ad free social media platform where you can share content and follow friends. While social media is widespread, most of it is run by giant coporations that pay employees millions of dollars for nothing more than to hook you to their site while spamming you with as much advertising as possible so their executives can own big houses and yachts.

Whusup is a growing platform that was just started out of the San Francisco Bay Area in 2026. We are only funded by user support, but if we don't get a dime of support we will keep the platform going either way.

We have no corporate oversight, there are absolutely no plans to ever incorporate advertising or paid promotions on the site, and the filters are simple so what you see is what you get. There are no gimmicks or back end algorithms to hook you to the site. On top of this any personal data is secure and will never be shared. Post data is public as the site is meant to be a public facing site so keep that in mind.
