I’m always curious why Atheists seem to claim victory once they’ve decided there is no God and there is no afterlife.
First - just as they say God or the afterlife cannot be proven, neither can the lack of God or the lack of an afterlife.
Second - it would seem counterintuitive to be either happy or satisfied in knowing that your entire existence will be wiped out in the very near future - it seems if anything, you would want to search for even a small shred of evidence that life may carry on after death.
Curious to hear anyone’s thoughts.
