Mortgage rates to 8%?

The 10 year treasury is well above 5% now and with the massive government debt it is looking like we will see 8%+ mortgage rates soon.

The fed just hiked interest rates for the first time since 2023.
Government debt is ballooning rapidly and servicing that debt just got more expensive.
Mortgage rates are already north of 7%.
