This is kind of crazy. BioWare made some great games in yonder years.
🤔 However, it IS a bit telling that they listed Anthem among their list of “greatest hits” when that game was an unmitigated disaster. It’s almost as if they thought, “We gotta put SOMEthing on here that didn’t first come out over 15 years ago...” 🙄
And therein lies the root cause of this notice.

Yeah, it probably is. Actually, it's probably the most anticipated entertainment release ever, regardless of medium. Music, movies, video games, sports events—you name it, GTA VI is bigger. It had a $2 billion budget, and it's already made over $400 million in pre-order sales; it's expected to hit $500 million before the game releases in November. Then the cash floodgates will REALLY open. It will probably hit $3 to $4 billion in revenue by the end of year. For comparison, GTA V—a game released in 2013—brought in $710 million during Take Two's (owner of Rockstar) latest fiscal year. GTA V has brought in $9.72 billion since its release. GTA VI is projected to far surpass that in a much shorter span of time.

There is an INSANE amount of new tech that Rockstar developed specifically for this game, which could be applicable across the entertainment industry (so another source of revenue for them, as well). I'm just waiting for RDR 3, but I will probably be 50 before that comes out...

We entered Bonkersland when a 5-year-old console went UP in price. As far as I know, that is the first time a console has ever had a price hike after launch, let alone toward the end of it's life cycle.
